More details:

Pick up

(1) Coach transfer from town: On Middle Road exactly outside The Kowloon Hotel in Tsimshatsui, Kowloon (across the road from the back of the Peninsula Hotel). Please be there on time at 8:50am to register with our colleague who takes care of the trip.

(2) Boarding the boat: Tung Chung New Development Pier, Lantau. Please be there at 9:25am(Please specify which pick-up you prefer when making the booking.)

We will spend about 3 hours and so on the sea for searching for dolphins. When back to the Pier, the coach will take you back to Tsimshatsui or you can decide to depart there. Depending on sighting time and traffic, we expect to be back to Tsimshatsui by 1pm to 2pm.

If you want to return to town sooner, taking the MTR is faster. We can take you to the MTR station in CityGate which is a few minutes from the Pier. If you have a flight to catch or need to be in town earlier, please inform our colleagues well in advance, preferably when you book the trip.

Ways to get there and maps:

(1) Middle Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon
(Opposite to the Peninsula Hotel)

MTR
Take the red Tsuen Wan Line to Tsimshatsui station and exit at Exit E, walk straight till you come to the intersection of roads, turn right without crossing, within a few steps, you will reach the Kowloon Hotel. Please allow about 5 minutes for walking after emerging from the Exit to the Hotel.

Star Ferry
(pic of Central Pier)Central Pier take a ferry from the Central Pier in Central to cross the harbour to Tsimshatsui, then walk to the Peninsula Hotel (pic of Peninsula Hotel)Peninsula Hotel which normally takes about 5 to 8 minutes. Go to the back of the Peninsula, then you will find Middle Road.

MTR Take the Tung Chung Line and get off at the terminus Tung Chung Station. If you don't mind walking which is probably the best way to get to the Pier, take the pedestrian flyover next to the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Station to cross the road and follow the way to the seaside. Please allow 15 minutes for it. If you want to take a taxi, get a blue Lantau taxi outside the MTR station but it may mean a long wait as there are very few of those taxis available yet the ride is just a couple of minutes. If you prefer taking a taxi, better allow 20 minutes or even more for the waiting time which is very hard to predict.

Public Bus if you live in Discovery Bay or anywhere near Tung Chung on Lantau, there are buses that will take you to Citygate, the town in Tung Chung. After getting off, follow the direction mentioned in the above paragraph for getting to the Pier.

Drive your own car there is no proper parking space by the Pier. The closest ones are available at Citygate. After parking, please refer to the paragraph above titled MTR for how to get to the Pier.

Driving your own car to the pick-up locations

1. The Kowloon Hotel in Tsimshatsui

Parking spaces are very limited at Tsimshatsui, aside from costly. We strongly recommend you to make use of public transports to join us outside the lobby of the Kowloon Hotel.

2. Boarding the boat at Tung Chung New Development Pier, Lantau

If you prefer this option, the closest parking facilities are available at CityGate which is around 15 minutes of walk to the Pier. You will risk getting a ticket by parking at the Pier as there is no proper parking space there.
